Working Towards Well-being & Family Employment Advice Service Lead

Hi, I’m Julie. As Working Towards Well-being & Family Employment Advice Service Lead, I am responsible for overseeing all areas of employment service delivery, staff recruitment, training, and employment service development and progression.

Co-ordinating the day-to-day delivery of a person-centred approach to ensure that all referrals to the Employment Services are treated equally without discrimination and that contractual responsibilities are adhered to.

Continually working on establishing excellent working relationships with local employers, statutory and charitable organisations to identify and source future funding opportunities to sustain the future of the service.  I am very much a “hands” on team lead and hold a caseload of clients myself.

I have been employed by Osel for over twenty years and I am passionate and proud of the work and services provided as an Organisation.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time socialising with family and friends, taking our puppy out and
attending training sessions. I also enjoy listening to a variety of music, cooking and baking with the
latter needing improvement!

The beach is my all time happy place whether it be Summer or Winter!

Tina Lewis

Tina Lewis

Employment Service Deputy Lead

Hi, I’m Tina the Deputy Lead of the Employment Team. I’ve worked for Working Towards Wellbeing since 2009, taking a break when I had my two youngest children.

I have a history of working with adults and children with learning difficulties as well as mental ill
health and also have a passion for all administrative and data collecting duties.

Sharing my role between my client base and being responsible for all admin and data collection and
reporting, is a perfect balance for me.

In my own time I like nothing better than being with my family and children, often going for lovely
family walks on our beautiful Island.

My name is Lorna and I have worked for Working towards Well being for nearly 4
years following a successful career in vocational teaching in further education.

Through my working life I have always been involved in career options work experience and identifying job opportunities. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, training to update my skills, and delivering a service that can improve the client’s experience.

I like to travel on holidays but also enjoy taking time to enjoy the beautiful island by supporting local events and as I have two dogs lots of walking.

I like to swim twice a week as this is good for clearing the mind as well as the fitness but have not been tempted to try open water swimming yet.

I enjoy cooking and baking and as a trained chef so does my husband and family.

Employment Advisor IAPTS

Hi, I’m Kayleigh and I have been a part of the Working Towards Wellbeing team since February 2019.

Before joining the team I was a Speech and Language therapy assistant within main stream schools. I have always loved helping people. It makes me happy to know that every day I go to work I have the opportunity to help someone identify and see the best parts of themselves. I learn so much from the individuals I work with and am challenged to learn and grow on a daily basis.

We at Working Towards Wellbeing are given the opportunity to celebrate successes on all levels and there is nothing more satisfying than celebrating with someone the next step they have achieved towards
their own personal working goals. I am proud to be part of this team.

When I am not working I enjoy being outdoors, walking my dog, gaming and spending time with my family.

From a young age I was lucky to have many holidays on the Isle of Wight with my parents.  I made the decision to move here and arrived in January 2021 to start a new chapter in my life. I am enjoying exploring the beaches around the island and collecting shells to draw and paint. My hobbies include growing herbs to make herbal teas, cooking/baking with experimental ingredients and  yoga.

I now support people who are looking to return to, or find new work.  This can be either paid work or voluntary work, as well as helping individuals update their skills set with new training and education.

I started in August and have been really enjoying getting to know everybody and the
role! My prior work experience is in mental health support.

I’m a home bod so in my free time I like reading just about anything and pretty much always have my headphones on listening to music.
