Mental Health Employment Support

How can we help?

1. Help to Retain and sustain Employment

We understand that work can be challenging, and we believe that maintaining work is not just a means of earning a living, but it is also an important part of your well being.

We offer regular one to one support, advice and guidance to help you to prepare for a return to work after a sickness absence.

We can also explore strategies to explore reasonable adjustments in the workplace to have a better work life balance.

We can support you to meetings if required.

2. Finding work opportunities – Paid or Self Employment

We understand that there is a lot involved in securing a job. All job searching activities are on a 1-1 basis using a person-centred approach through an action plan, that takes all your needs into account such as logistics of getting  to work, health, childcare arrangements and costs. So that when you commence paid work, it is as stress free as possible with a positive smooth transition from benefits into paid employment.
When it comes to self- employment, we offer support and guidance when completing initial paperwork to register as self-employed.

We signpost to appropriate courses to support you with your business idea / plan. Whilst offering advice and guidance where relevant.

Connect to Work

3. Volunteering

If you feel that you are not ready for paid employment or that paid work doesn’t currently fit with your mental health well-being.

We can support you in securing a voluntary placement suitable to your needs that will help you to have a more socially inclusive and improved quality of life by introducing some with structure and a meaningful purpose.
Volunteering can help you by meeting new people and making new friends whilst learning new skills, gaining confidence and helping you to feel part of your community.

Most of all it will involve you having fun!

Education and Training

4. Education and Training

If you’re looking to upskill, build confidence, or move into a new career, taking the first step can feel challenging—but it starts with recognising your strengths.

We can help by completing a person-centred action plan to support you to find the right training / education for you. This could be something you are hoping to achieve to help with your long-term career goal, or something to upskill and enhance your existing skill/knowledge to help you feel more confident in your next opportunity.
